Relaxing, but fun bike riding

Guest post written by Sheila Parker

When I was a kid, I spent so much of my free time - actually most of it - riding on my bike aroudn my neighborhood. Then once I got a little bit older I stopped riding my bike so much. When I was in college I would ride my bike around my college campus to get to classes and everything in time. Then I gave it up for a while. Now I like to ride my bikes with my kids and even ride my bike around town to get to a lot of places like work and the library.

But I'm very concerned with safety, especially when it comes to my kids. I was online the other day buying my daughter a new helmet because the one that she has is getting too small for her and is probably so beat up anyway that she needs a new one. I found one with my clear internet and ordered it for her. While I was at it I found these cute bicycle baskets and bought one for each of us. Then it would be so easy to carry stuff around, like when we take bike rides to the library. Carrying books back and forth can be a problem.

My nephew and math

My nephew has just started the 5th grade this year. I was always a straight A student good with most subjects math being my weakest. When he started school I was looked upon to start tutoring him.

5th grade math does not sound so difficult. I had helped him with his 4th grade math and never had an issue. Simple math was not something I was able to forget. Adding subtraction and other simple equations were easy for me to teach him. Once he entered the 5th grade it seems the math has started to change. I do not remember such a big jump when I was in school. This year my nephews math is far more sophisticated. The learning curve definitely made me get a little more on the ball. It made me giggle as I thought of the show "Are you smarter than a 5th grader". This has made me realize that in math I might not be smarter than a 5th grader lol

I was always good with Algebra 2 and remember the x and y formulas. I did have to do a little refreshing but I was able to help tutor him in this area. He was really eager to learn as he loves problem solving. I think he will be a great engineer or something else that would require heavy use of math. His favorite area of study is more in the visual area. He loves graphing linear equations. Drawing graphs lends to his creative side as well as his analytical side. An area I was a little hazy with was recalling the formula for volume. I think when he hits geometry I will definitely encourage a tutor. Adding fractions will be the next hurdle we will need to cross wish me luck!!

Bullion and other ways to invest in gold

The price of gold just keeps going up. It is a sound investment for anyone's future. Gold historical has always been a sound investment. Since the value of gold was declared it has been fought for with entire empires crumbling over defending gold mines. Now there are many ways to invest in gold from jewelry to coins to straight bars. Bullion gold bars are the most traditional way. There are investors that help you make such purchases and can handle the paperwork involved to buy bullion. Bullion is heavy and you have to really know what you are doing to trade in it. There is also a nice long term investment in a gold IRA This provides a more piece of mind approach to gold investment. This will allow the professionals to invest appropriately to ensure your IRA.

Gold bullion coins are the most common way to invest. They are safe guarded against forgery better and are so widely dealt with they are a very sound investment. I personally prefer this method. I feel it is easier to know what exactly you are getting. The certificates are nice but this to me is a simpler investment format. Gold trade has been up and prices are always climbing! I would definitely recommend that a person wishing for a good return buy gold bullion. I do not think you will regret it!

New state fair food finds

Guest post written by Darryl White

Each year when I hear that the fair's coming to town, I'm really excited to go and take the kids. But I don't really ride a whole lot of rides with them, I'm kind of scared of them. But I go to keep an eye on them and also try out some of the weird foord that they're hawking at the food vendors booths.

I was looking online with my Clear Wireless Interenet 4G trying to see if I could figure out what kinds of offerings they would have food-wise, but then I decided that I really wanted to be surprised instead. Because I didn't want to think too much about how the stuff would taste before I actually got to try it.

I was pleasantly surprised by all the food that they had when I finally took my kids to the fair. My youngest daughter Alicia just had to have some chocolate covered bacon but then she didn't end up liking it so I finished it off for her, but that seems to happen with at least one of my kids every year. But then I got a hash brown hot dog that was so delicious. p>

Progress with MS

I have a friend named Andrew that was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I never realized what a debilitating disease it is or the progression. I started doing research for my friend to help find natural alternatives that support and aid in the treatment of the symptoms. Montel Williams announcing his battle with MS has helped educate the general public on the disease. His battle for progress with the disease as well as funding for research will hopefully lead us closer to a cure or better understanding of the disease. The fast that MS affects only 1% of the population really keeps it in the dark more but those that it treats it hits harder than most other diseases. MS treatment goes from dietary to exercise to medicine. Changing your life style definitely is a good start to living a better life with MS. Stress is a large factor in MS which is hard to reduce from your life. I am currently in a very stressful situation and have yet to figure out how to reduce the stress. Taking time for yourself is always a good start. I find it hard during a day of hectic routine and feeling like i am being pulled in 5 different ways at once. I really feel for those with MS as being diagnosed with MS cause an unbelievable amount of stress in itself. When the weight of the world is too much to carry the burden of it is time to step back and allow for some free, new ways of living.

A Ms Diet is not that difficult to take up. It is really about sensible eating and adopting a healthier life style. I have to admit this can benefit all of us. I have been trying to eat more sensible but temptation is always around. Cutting out soft drinks is an easy way to eat better. I find I either want water or soda so I have made the effort to always buy water or get it when I eat out. People with MS find turning to a healthier life style that encompasses all aspects of life from stress to sleeping habits to diet and exercise notice an improved quality of life. I plan on speaking with my friend Andrew and supporting his life style changes in an effort to help reduce the severity of MS in his life.

Haystacks and pumpkins

Guest post written by Melonie Sommers

There's always a lot of fun to be had around this time of the year, or at least I think that there is for me. I just love the fall season and I love making decorations, so I have a whole lot of fun right now.

I'm in charge of putting up the Halloween/fall decorations up this year at my house. I have some great ideas for them too, but I'll admit that I am getting a lot of help from some decorations blogs because I've found some ideas with some. While I was looking through some I came across www.clear-internet.com and after reading through some of it decided to switch over my internet service to it.

I tracked down a haystack from one of our neighbors and plan on setting it in our front yard and arranging some pumpkins on it. With that, well at least with that part of our decorations, I can leave it up through November because it will just look like fall and not specifically Halloween like most of our decorations.
